º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Public Radio, as a policy, provides employment information utilizing the following sources to notify the public of all full-time vacancies.

- Posted on the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Public radio website.
- Announcements are circulated to other institutions of higher learning.
- Posted in the Alabama Broadcasters Association Job Bank publication.
- Posted on º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University’s Human Resources website.
Recruiting Initiatives
- Fred Azbell and Joanne Jacobs participated in the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Job Fairs at the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½, Montgomery and Dothan campuses held February 2006. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Public radio staff spoke to several participants interested in public radio and collected several resumes for future reference.
- Joanne Jacobs participated in the Fort Rucker Army Base Job Fair 2006. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Public Radio’s booth attracted many prospective broadcast professionals and received eight resumes for future reference.
- Continued membership with the Alabama Broadcasters Association providing access to a statewide job bank newsletter. (October, 2006)
- Approved and contracted with a summer intern June – July 2006. The intern worked 30 hours per week and served as a producer and revised the Underwriting Guidelines. He was also trained to perform audio editing and served as board operator on a regular basis.
- º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Public Radio partners with the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ City School system and the Pike County schools system to provide opportunities for high school students to serve as announcers for the Radio Reading Service for the blind. Through the Global Studies Program, we have eighteen students participating during September 06 through February 07. They participated in an orientation/training session and each had the opportunity to read a small segment of a regional newspaper to get hands on experience with the equipment. Once the group session is completed, they have the opportunity to sign up as a volunteer to read on a weekly basis.
